CLEARHEEL is made to be used on even heel surfaces.
For best look, use on glossy heels:
Pvc, metal, leather, wood etc.
CLEARHEEL will be the most invisible on glossy surfaces.
Also protects matt materials:
Suede, nubuck, satin, fabric, etc.
On matt materials CLEARHEEL will be somewhat more visible but always provides the same high level of protection.
Tools you need:
Scissors & (standard waterproofing spray - OPTIONAL).
Apply the spray on sensitive heels as preparation.
Which heel sizes do CLEARHEEL fit?
CLEARHEEL has a width of 6 cm / 2,4 inch. It can be cut to fit narrower heels.
Tips: Cut the width in the final step (step 3) of the instructions.
CLEARHEEL has a height of 5 cm / 2,2 inch. It can of course be cut to fit lower heels such as kittens.
Tips: Cut your correct height before detaching the sticker from back plane.
Why the size of CLEARHEEL ?
Scuff marks on heels tend to appear below 5 cm / 2,2 inch. Majority of heels are less than 6 cm / 2,4 inch wide.
For how long does CLEARHEEL last ?
Yellowing: 5 years in sunshine. Your shoes will most likely not be in the sun 24hrs so don't worry.
Adhesive: 10 years.
How is CLEARHEEL best removed from the heel ?
Gently, with common sense, i.e. not ripping off.
PREPARATION TIPS for sensitive heel surfaces:
Spray a standard waterproofing spray on your heels as preparation. Leave to dry before applying CLEARHEEL. This creates an invisible sealant between the heel surface and CLEARHEEL, hence will simplify any future removal of sticker without affecting the delicate heel surface.
Explanation:
Since high heels are made of such a wide variety of materials and colouring, some surfaces may be more delicate than others. This precaution step can be used for all heels but is specially designated for heels that have a sensible surface to preserve colours that would otherwise fade during removal etc. The founder of CLEARHEEL learned this technique when lying in hospital with a serious skin condition. The Nurses were then preparing his skin with a similar sealant as the waterproofing spray before applying bandages.
This preparing step made it possible to remove the bandages without hurting the skin. And now this is a great way to help you using CLEARHEEL on your favourite heels!
